and answers to help you.
What happens on our visit to your studio?
We invite you to make an appointment to chat to us about your plans and we are here to listen to you and help you achieve a beautifully designed kitchen. We prefer to operate an appointment system because your time with us is important and we believe that it should not be interrupted if at all possible.
Each kitchen is a different shape and that shape needs to work differently for each client. This needs to reflect your lifestyle and just putting boxes on wall is not what we do here. All ideas will help you bring your choices together.
We will chat through many aspects of your kitchen including but not limited to…
We advise you on different designs that you may not have thought about and take you around our studio showing you the gems we have here to make your life easier. This appointment takes about an hour. We are constantly working between 2 to 3 months ahead and we work with clients in some cases over many months.
What is the next stage?
We arrange a visit to your home to take measurements which will take no more than 1 hour. CAD images are then produced and we will invite you in to the studio to see what we have created for you. Should you decide that you would like PK to look after your project we will make another visit to your home to make sure nothing has been missed and we will advise start dates.
What is the average price of your kitchens?
Each kitchen is very different and this is a hard question to answer. However the average cost of our kitchens fully fitted is between £15,000 and £25,000 very much depending on your final choices.
How do you accept payment?
Payment can be made by major credit and debit cards, bank transfer and by cheque.
Do you sell appliances?
We sell built in appliances and offer a free delivery service around Portishead and surrounding areas.
Do you manage the whole project?
Yes we manage everything and liaise with all others professionals on your behalf.
How long does the installation take?
This will vary from project to project but on average it will take 2-3 weeks including worktop fitting.
What are your kitchens carcasses made from?
All our carcasses are 18mm MFC made from Egger board and are either bespoke sizes or standard sizes depending on the range.
Do you charge for your design service?
Our design service is free of charge. However if you need plans to pass onto your builder before we start your kitchen they can be purchased at a cost of £500 which is fully redeemable against purchase. This covers the time we have taken to design and plan your kitchen and the CAD images.
Do you offer a full kitchen supply only service?
Yes we do. We always recommend that a qualified carpenter is used to fit your kitchen because it is a complex installation.
How far do you travel?
Our insulation team is based in North Somerset however we supply kitchens further afield if required.
Do you use your own employees or contractors?
Our team of self-employed tradesmen are all highly qualified in their field and we have used the same team of fitters, electricians, plumbers, tilers and plasterers since we opened.
Do you recycle our existing kitchen?
Yes our waste management company recycles everything for us. Many of our clients also choose to sell or give away their existing kitchen and we also have a list of people that we can call should we be able to recycle an item for you.
After your project?
With over 100 reviews on Which, Facebook, Google and our website we make sure our clients are always looked after long after they have engaged PK. We are always here to talk about any aspect of your project after the fit has taken place. We are well known for our excellent reputation and aftercare
